Wu Lichen had a terrible backache.

Although it didn't delay the filming schedule and it didn’t affect the expressions he had to make, his movements were very slow when it came to sitting down. So it was self-evident how those in the crew were looking at him.

Several male actors who were now familiar with him shifted over. One opened a bottle of water and took a sip of water, hooked their arm around his neck, and said in a lowered voice, "Not bad, really giving it everything you got."

Wu Lichen's expression remained unchanged, focused on looking at the script while listening to the other person harping on next to his ear. He took the script and tapped it on the other’s forehead, giving them a glance. "A kid like you wants to have a try?"

The other person choked, coughed in succession a few times as he quickly waved his hand in denial.

Wu Lichen unlocked his cell phone and deleted all the short videos within.

What d★mn use is there to save it.

His backache was purely because he has been sleeping on the floor, where he would be laying down next to the sofa every night. Cen Simiao simply refused to get near the bed at all, adamant about sleeping on the sofa.

So when Wu Lichen got back to the hotel and saw the sofa, his eyes immediately became off, as if he was looking at an enemy.

These past two days, Cen Simiao has been counting the days, estimating when Xu Senni will be able to return to her senses. But even up to now, the other still hasn't made any movements and had only called on the opening day.

It was probably because she felt confident she had a batch of real paintings in her hands and so wasn’t flustered at all.

As a result, as soon as Cen Simiao thought upon this point, Xu Senni’s call came.

Soft and gentle words, full of affection and thoughtfulness.

Cen Simiao narrowed her eyes, then asked the system.

"If my life is in danger, your system would be responsible for protecting me, yes?"

The system was still putting in great efforts to tinker with the orange plug-in. Hearing this question, it was quite impatient and directly closed the website for downloading the plug-in, then played a BGM of a few pounds on a table.

"You go roll off to the side! Not free, no time!"

Cen Simiao peeled an orange. Tasty.

Wu Lichen's filming schedule had intensified in the past two days, his dinners were now the boxed meals provided for the crew, eaten at the set. So now, before going to bed every day, he would make breakfast so it would be ready for Cen Simiao to eat once she gets up.

Even lunch and dinner were takeout that he had ordered for Cen Simiao from the film set.

As Cen Simiao chewed and chewed, she started to frown.

By the time Wu Lichen came back, it was already midnight. He softly and quietly walked inside, as he took off his shoes, he glanced at the sofa.

No one.

His brow furrowed, and his eyes shifted to the clothes rack - Cen Simiao's bag and everything was still there. Feeling something stifled in his heart, the voice deepened, "Cen-jie?"

No response.

Wu Lichen walked in a few more steps when suddenly he heard some light footsteps. He quickly headed towards the source in large strides. Next to the stove stood a figure wearing simple at-home clothes with a loose neckline, half stooped over, appearing particularly languid.

With their back facing towards him, they were staring at all the pots and pans.

"What are you doing standing there? Still not going to bed?"

Cen Simiao froze, then looked back with puzzlement on her face and headphones in her ear. Seeing that he was back, she took out the headphones as she asked, "When did you get back?"

Then she said, as if just saying to herself, "I'm trying to figure out how to cook, then you won't have to work so hard in the future."

Wu Lichen stared at her for a long time, then turned and headed to the bathroom to shower without saying a word.

Cen Simiao was a bit confused.

Originally, she was planning to cook so that the other wouldn’t have to be so tired, but how did it end up offending the other instead.

It was rare for Wu Lichen to have any free time during this period of time, so now that he didn’t need to film for two days, he directly laid down at the foot of the sofa and slept for an entire day.

Meanwhile, Cen Simiao was sitting on the sofa with nail polish in hand, painting her toes. The purplish-red contrasting against the originally already fair and tender skin, made it appear even more beautiful.

Suddenly, Wu Lichen turned over.

She subconsciously gave him a glance. The other had pushed away the cooling summer duvet, pressing it just under his body. Putting the nail polish down on the floor, she strenuously stretched out to get the duvet. Just as she managed to reach the edge of it, Wu Lichen suddenly opened his eyes.

Immediately giving Cen Simiao a startle, she slipped and smashed into him. Wu Lichen conveniently wrapped his arms around her waist and yawned next to her ear. "You have made it a habit after falling onto me so many times."

Cen Simiao looked up and connected with his gaze.

When Wu Lichen had just woken up, his eyes still had a hint of leisureliness while his entire body exuded languidity. He had regained his senses at this time, yet there wasn’t the usual concealment that he would put up.

She gently pulled back, he did not bother to hide the desire in his eyes at all.

Cen Simiao cleared her throat, then opened her mouth. But as soon as she was about to speak, there was a heat on her lips and she was hugged even tighter, becoming surrounded by his presence.

She glanced at the progress bar for the task: 75%.

Cen Simiao immediately started to tremble from the excitement, her cheeks reddened while her chest heaved violently. Just as she was about to respond, suddenly she felt the arm around her loosen while their lips also separated.

Her eyes were misty as she stared at Wu Lichen.

His face was ashen as he looked back at Cen Simiao. His throat rolled as he panted, then asked with pursed lips, "What are you so afraid of, already shaking so much. It’s not like I can eat you."

Cen Simiao felt as if there was a fishbone stuck in her throat.

But you can, f★ck.
