After the wedding, Wu Lichen originally planned to go on a honeymoon. He opened the map on his mobile phone, searching where would be a good location, and asked Cen Simiao to choose. But then, she just didn't seem to want to eat no matter what, becoming fretful as soon as she sees a meal and her health deteriorated.

At first, Wu Lichen thought that she was trying to lose weight, so he tried persuading and coaxing her. Later, he finally realized that something was wrong. He thought about it for a while, then hesitated to ask.

"Am I going to be a father, don't they say that pregnant women are prone to nausea?"

Cen Simiao’s mouth twitched "Have you ever seen a pregnant woman who just had her period a few days ago?"

Wu Lichen was about to pull out a handful of hair and so he simply dragged her to the hospital.

Cen Simiao was very clear in her heart what was happening and didn’t want to go to the hospital to suffer a gastroscopy. No matter what, she just refused to go. A month later, she could only eat light porridge.

Her body lost a full size.

Wu Lichen was so anxious that his mouth was about to froth. He had trouble sleeping every day, there was a clear shadow beneath his eyes, and he lost a lot of weight. Seeing him like this, Cen Simiao decided to make a trip to the hospital. When she was doing the gastroscopy, it was particularly uncomfortable.

The results of the examination came out: No illness.

Even after seeing the test results, Wu Lichen still looked extremely worried and smoked one cigarette after another, but when he was facing Cen Simiao, he would again appear relaxed, deliberately coaxing how she’s lost weight from not eating and look how ugly she had become.

Cen Simiao didn’t retort and just used her chopsticks to pick up some food to eat.

Wu Licheng suddenly understood a phrase the elderly would say about children that he heard back when he was young, how it’s not like you’re being asked to eat but like asking you to be tortured.

He clenched his fist and his eyes were flushed.

Cen Simiao was still stuffing herself.

Wu Lichen grabbed the chopsticks with anger, but his voice was a little choked, "Don’t eat anymore. This meal doesn’t taste good."

Cen Simiao drooped her eyes and looked at the dishes on the table, they were all her favorites. Wu Lichen dedicatedly made them every day. She pursed her lips. "It's very delicious."

Wu Lichen suddenly hugged her. "Since they can’t figure it out here, we'll get it checked abroad."

She opened her mouth but didn’t end up saying anything, just sounded out an “en.”

The day before they were going to leave the country, the system announced that it could not be delayed any longer.

Cen Simiao looked at Wu Lichen, who was packing up their things. She lowered her eyelashes and sighed, "Then let’s just go."

As she lay on the bed, she felt incredibly dizzy as if her entire person was floating in the air. Wu Lichen's figure became more and more indistinct, she moved her lips.

Wu Lichen's body stiffened as if he had some premonition. He suddenly turned his head, looked towards Cen Simiao's position, and loudly called out to her. There was no response.

Hurriedly, he rushed over, hands and feet both flustered, while the luggage on the ground overturned.

He went to the bedside, took Cen Simiao's hand, and called her several times in a row but there was still no answer.

After a while, Wu Lichen lowered his head and stared at her without expression. With calm eyes, he moved his lips, "Cen-jie..."

There was still no response.

His eyes reddened and tears fell onto Cen Simiao's clothes.
