Cen Simiao had thought he would start a fight.

She lowered her head, her body slightly trembling while her eyes reflected that she was at wit’s end. She swallowed then turned her head aside to avoid Wu Lichen's eyes.

With an almost inaudible voice: "You let go of me, leave first, okay?"

Wu Lichen leaned his upper body forward and stared at her with a slight frown. It was his first time seeing her like this. His body moved again to sit back. Lifting his eyes back up, he saw the car in front.

He pursed his lips. "Didn’t you say you were bringing me back, you regret it?"

Cen Simiao clenched her teeth and didn’t say a word.

When this appearance of her reflected in Wu Lichen's eyes, he felt especially uncomfortable, as if something was clogging up his heart. Cen Simiao's usual coldness and arrogance had completely disappeared.

His eyes were dark and gloomy as he just stared at her for a long time. Then suddenly, Cen Simiao moved to open the door but was immediately pulled back, her head falling and hitting his chest.

"Let me go, are you done yet!" Completely furious.

Wu Lichen sneered. "You’re only this capable towards me."

Cen Simiao pushed the other.

But suddenly, her body got pulled hard and the other used his arms to hug her tight. Wu Lichen straightened his back and leaned back on the driver's seat. Cen Simiao ended up sitting on his lap.

Wu Lichen had his chin on one of her shoulders and his voice became low. He twisted the car key, and with his two hands on the steering wheel, he had Cen Simiao trapped.

His foot stepped on the accelerator as the person in his arms continued to struggle. He whispered a berate, "Don’t fuss."

The car drove forward, and within two seconds, it had drawn close to the car in front. The window slowly rolled down, and Wu Lichen turned to give the other a glance. Hu Yinli with an ashen face was presently trying to get out of the back seat and into the front to drive.

The eyes of the two collided.

Wu Lichen turned his head back and stepped on the gas, speeding up a bit. Narrowing his eyes, he said in a soft voice, "The aesthetic is rather bad."

Hu Yinli's face had darkened from the anger as he tried to use the key to start the car but couldn't manage to get in for a good period of time. Soon, Wu Lichen's car was out of sight. His hands were shaking badly. His gaze was fixed while his chest felt stuffed. Then suddenly he threw the car key, smashing it hard against the steering wheel.

For the next two days, Cen Simiao stayed and brooded in Wu Lichen's rented house.

She didn’t eat and didn’t drink but just hid inside the room without speaking a word.

Wu Lichen had kept knocking on the door. In the beginning, he had tried to persuade her to come out, but then his intentions towards later on were unclear. Carrying the food he had just cooked, he knocked on the door with his elbow.

"It’s your favorites, would you like to eat a bit?"

Cen Simiao was currently munching potato chips.

She had gotten them from the system. It was her seeking death benefits from last time. It was said to be a great bargain, so she had exchanged for her food reserves these past two days. She sniffed the aroma of rice that was drifting in from the crack of the door.

Then lowered her head to continue eating the chips.

Wu Lichen put the meal down on the table, then picked up his cell phone to take a look at the date. He got up, then pulled away the chair that was blocking the cabinet door. He half-knelt and stuck his head in to look through the items, taking out a hammer.

He opened the sliding door of the balcony.

The glass window of Cen Simiao's room just so happened to face towards the balcony, just that it was designed so one couldn’t see in from the outside.

He knocked on the window. "Wanted to tell you first, I'm going to break the door lock."

There was the sound of fluster from inside, and also the sound of footsteps heading towards the door. "Are you sick? You’re not allowed in!"

Wu Lichen abruptly smashed the window.

Cen Simiao was standing barefoot in front of the door, dragging a bedside table to block the door when she heard the sound. She subconsciously turned to look back.

He raised one leg to step on the windowsill, slightly pushed with his other foot’s toes and leaned forward to jump into the room. Fragments of glass were all over the floor.

His eyes have stayed firmly fixed on Cen Simiao as his frown became deeper and deeper, and his expression was particularly ugly as he walked over. Cen Simiao was just about to raise and get angry, but then she saw him squat down.

A warm palm wrapped and held her ankle. Placing her foot on his knee, he used his other hand to start to lightly rub her sole.

Cen Simiao was taken aback for a moment, then began to struggle. Wu Lichen abruptly raised his head, ending up scaring her with the anger in his eyes. His Adam's apple bobbed. He then reached and horizontally picked her up, moving to open the locked door.

There was food on the table. While still holding Cen Simiao, he directly sat down at the table. The lotus leaf and red jujube congee was already no longer hot at this time. He took a spoonful, bringing it to Cen Simiao's lips.

She didn't eat, as expected.

Wu Lichen lowered her eyes and coaxed her in a soft voice, his anger from just a moment ago had completely disappeared. Cen Simiao still had yet to react, how come his persona has changed.

The system sighed. His persona setting had long f★ck★ng changed.
