By the time the recording of the program was wrapped up, Wu Lichen's washboard had been replaced twice. During the day, his momentum was too strong such that Cen Simiao had no way to go against him. But once night fell, as soon as the doors were closed, he would take the initiative to find his washboard.
There was indeed a positive attitude in admitting his mistakes, but he was dead set against changing.
Cen Simiao directly picked up a durian and threw it to the ground, then staring Wu Lichen down as the accumulated stuffiness in her chest felt more and more suffocating. During the filming today, he actually didn't let her wash her own face herself.
He even brushed her teeth for her. She feels chills as soon as she recalls his eyes from then.
With slippers on, Wu Lichen gave the durian a kick, then raised his eyes. "Not kneeling."
At this point, Cen Simiao particularly wanted to beat him up.
All of a sudden, the sound of a WeChat notification rang out, and she suddenly became spirited. Taking a look at the screen, sure enough, it was Hu Yinli.
Cen Simiao’s lips drew up in a curve. When she suddenly looked up, she abruptly saw Wu Lichen's especially chilly expression. A tremble rippled through her, but then she saw him return to normal, turning to get water.
She bowed her head to reply to the message, then cleared her throat. "Accompany me back for a trip, there isn’t any filming these next two days anyway."
Wu Lichen's figure paused, drinking a sip from the tightly held cup. "En."
As they were heading out, Cen Simiao walked towards the door in a fluster. As a result, it seemed she couldn’t open the door handle. She frowned. "What happened? I was still perfectly fine when we came back."
With a calm expression, Wu Lichen went over to have a look, then conveniently picked up a household item, smashing it on the door lock.
He glanced at Cen Simiao. "Just compensate the money."
Along the way, the two people did not speak. Music played inside the car, and Cen Simiao who was sitting in the passenger seat was drowsy, her entire person appeared very sleepy.
Some unknown time later, Wu Lichen finally woke her up.
In a muddle, Cen Simiao took out the access card for the community for the guard at the gate to take a look, then directed Wu Lichen on which way to go. It was very big inside the community. They drove for five minutes before finally stopping in front of a single-family villa.
She took a glance at the car that was already parked there.
"Lichen, you go back, today should’ve been quite tiring."
Wu Lichen didn’t make any response with his hands still on the steering wheel. Without looking at him again, Cen Simiao reached out to open the door when suddenly, another hand shot out, slamming the door shut.
And instantly, Cen Simiao was drawn into an embrace.
His chin pressing against her forehead, Cen Simiao’s uneasy breaths landed and spread across his neck. Wu Lichen loosened some of his strength to stare at her. Cen Simiao unconsciously, couldn't help but dodge his eyes.
"You want to toss me aside and run away yourself?"
The person in the backseat of the car in front stared right at this scene with their teeth gritted and the veins of their clenched fists jumping out.
YinYue has something to say:
I really only wanted to cut this into two parts... But there was no good midpoint.
