As soon as Wu Lichen finished filming his drama, he went to participate in the variety show. Those around him had never seen someone so well supported, moreover, Cen Simiao also took the initiative to step into battle.

In this variety show, the male actor would be randomly partnered up with a female layman, the two would then proceed to live together. The actor would then be responsible for taking care of his partner, from cooking, washing, and cleaning to even choosing what clothes the other should wear.

Whether this sort of arrangement would cause the audience to feel completely disgusted or completely cute, all depended on the performance of the guest.

Wu Lichen was particularly skillful at cooking.

He purposefully cooked vegetables that Cen Simiao didn't like to eat. Then with those two or three dishes on the table, he would coax her to eat with his gentle gaze and low voice.

Cen Simiao bit the tip of her tongue as she glanced at the camera with the corner of her eyes, then raised her eyes to ask, "Housekeeper, is our family out of money?"

Everything was vegetarian, none of them was tasty.

Wu Lichen chuckled and picked up a chopstick-full of vegetables, bringing it to her lips. Cen Simiao gave him a glance, then opened her mouth and ate it. Just as she had swallowed it down, another chopstick-full had again arrived.

Cen Simiao pursed her lips.

He leaned back in his chair, frowning as he softly asked, "Not eating?"

Before she could even answer, Wu Lichen placed down his chopsticks, then slightly bent over and stretched out his long arm, picking her up and bringing her into his embrace, sitting together on one chair.

His eyes curved.

Cen Simiao took another bite while looking down as if she was feeling embarrassed. Wu Lichen's hand on her waist felt especially warm through the thin fabric, causing her to feel particularly sensitive.

Wu Lichen fed the vegetable dishes one after another.

Cen Simiao suddenly smiled and brought up her arms that were just hanging by her side to around his neck, drawing and closing the distance between the two of them in an instant. The stray hairs on her forehead brushed against Wu Lichen's chin as she gently leaned on the other’s shoulder.

Softening her voice: "I can't eat anymore."

Wu Lichen’s Adam’s apple bobbed.

Cen Simiao's eyes narrowed and the hand she had around his neck started to tracelessly rub  his nape.

When the filming ended, the two of them went straight to the hotel. Cen Simiao waited to roll around in the bed while Wu Lichen went directly into the bathroom to take a shower.

She was a bit confused.

Why do I still feel so sullen?

Cen Simiao poured a glass of red wine, drinking it while nestled on the sofa, occasionally glancing at her phone, then her gaze drifted to the bathroom door. When the door opened, Wu Lichen was neatly dressed, where even his legs were half covered.

She leaned against the armrest of the sofa, twirling her glass, when she softly said, "This shower of yours is becoming longer and longer."

Wu Lichen's hair was dripping wet. He took a towel to wipe it as he stood in front of the full-length mirror, affirmed with an ‘en’ then added, "My health is good."

Then he turned around. "But it's not as good as your considerations."

Cen Simiao was having a headache.

She cleared her throat and raised her eyes, asking, "What tantrum are you throwing lately?"

Wu Lichen stopped his movements drying his hair and turned to walk in front of her. When he saw the new color of her nail polish, he frowned. "Why did you change it? The color before was quite nice."

She gave it a glance. "The color makes me seem fairer."

The wine-red nails paired with her already fair skin made her seem even more attractive. Wu Lichen stared at her for a while, his eyes darkening. So he closed his eyes.

With a voice that was a bit hoarse: "I'll change it back for you when we film the program tomorrow."

Cen Simiao felt baffled. "Not changing. What’s up with you?"

Wu Lichen's tone unconsciously carried a trace of overbearingness. "Change."

She raised her eyes then, with pursed lips, placed aside the wine glass on the side table before getting up and walking away to the side. Wu Lichen's eyes staringly followed her the entire time.

Cen Simiao's voice was cold. "What do you mean by this?"

Wu Lichen’s lashes dropped, covering his eyes. A moment later, he sat and leaned back on the sofa with one leg on the other one’s knee and lazily yawned. There was a hooligan-esque air on his face as if he had become a different person.

"I think your aesthetic is too poor."

Cen Simiao was stunned. She looked down at her fingertips then retorted, "Have you become addicted to managing everything because of the program, still haven’t withdrawn yourself from the role yet?"

Wu Lichen's eyes drifted downward, then he hesitantly said, "Leave then."

He then stood up and walked towards the French window of the balcony. Cen Simiao didn't know what he was trying to do, but then she saw him carrying back a washboard and keyboard.

He carried one in each hand, walking back with great momentum, his back upright, and his head raised.

Put them on the ground, he slightly raised his chin and motioned for her to have a look.

"Speak then, which one do you want me to kneel on. Vent all the anger you want, I absolutely won't cry that it’s painful."

"......"
