As soon as she entered the door, she saw Gu Yu sitting in a chair, staring angrily at his phone, his face extremely ugly. Having heard the door open, he turned his head and was about to scold the person who came in when he found that it was Cen Simiao.
Whose face was even uglier.
With a rather strong temper, she walked to the front of him in her heels with her chin slightly raised. "What do you mean? Where’s the problem in coming to my own family’s company to work? What’s more, it was after going through rounds and rounds of interviews."
"What exactly did I do incorrectly that caused Young Master Gu to be so angry?"
This remark caused Gu Yu to choke, while every word was like a slap against his face. Truthfully, he wasn’t considered a member of the Gu family at all, so who was he to manage what Cen Simiao does?
Gu Yu retorted coldly, "Yeah, what you’ve said is quite open and generous. But then, why was it that you had to do it while hiding it from me? Only for me to find out when you’re being switched to a full-time position and it couldn’t be hidden from me any longer?"
Cen Simiao felt that there must be something wrong with his brain. "Because there was no need for you to know."
Obviously, she didn’t feel the need to attach any importance to him and didn’t care about him at all. Gu Yu felt a tendon consistently twitch on his forehead, and he became a bit dazed by his anger. "Yes, of course, if you look down on me so much then you also won’t need me to sign off on you switching to full-time then. You can take the contract back."
Cen Simiao looked at him for a long time, then suddenly pursed her lips and laughed. "Ge, aren’t you making a mistake?"
Gu Yu furrowed his brows.
Then he heard her say: "Although you have become my father's son in name, you don’t exist on our family’s household registry."
Gu Yu's face suddenly paled, his body trembled, and his chest erratically undulated.
The two separated after this fight. When they got home and sat together at the table for dinner, they didn’t say a word at all and just silently ate. Father Gu noticed that something was wrong. He frowned and then asked in a low voice, “What’s going on?”
Cen Simiao lowered her head to eat without saying a word.
Gu Yu closed his eyes, while the chopsticks in his hands, which were picking up some vegetables, paused. In a flat tone, he replied, "It’s nothing. We only had a small argument over something trivial."
Cen Simiao blew at the soup bowl a bit and took a sip, then raised her eyes and replied, "I had gone to the company for an interview previously, I would be switching to a full-time position today."
Father Gu was stunned for a moment, then he reacted with joy in his eyes. Although he regretted that he didn’t have a son and so didn't care as much about his daughter as he should, there was no way he would dislike how his child was so promising.
He asked a few questions in a hurry.
Cen Simiao answered one by one, then the direction of the conversation shifted, "Ge didn’t agree and even quarreled with me over it."
Gu Yu's heart, which was originally already hanging from suspense, immediately fell into a complete panic. Once Father Gu heard this, he obviously knew Gu Yu’s intentions. Gu Yu tightened his jaws. "No, I was just angry that she never mentioned it at all and just hid everything from me."
Father Gu chuckled and just said, "You don't have to worry about her."
Gu Yu's expression froze.
The dining table became quiet. Cen Simiao’s eyes revealed a trace of pleasure, and her appetite increased a lot. Then she said, "When I went to the An family previously, Uncle An’s son also said he wanted to come to our company to learn and gain some experience."
Gu father hesitated. "His son... You mean An Zeru?"
Cen Simiao nodded: "I get along well with him, and we agreed that when I turn full-time, he will come and learn under my management. Dad, what do you think?”
An Zeru was notoriously difficult to teach and control, moreover, he also looked down on everyone else. Yet, the other just had to take a fancy to his family’s company... But Father Gu was not unwilling…
After dinner, Cen Simiao went back to her room and made a call. "Luoluo-jie, how is it?"
The tone on the other end of the phone was rather complacent, "Is there anything that I won’t be able to get done if I personally go out and do it? Uncle An has agreed. But, what kind of enmity did you have with An Zeru to have come up with such an idea?"
Cen Simiao’s eyes smiled. "No hatred, I just want to see him."
An Zeru had just returned home when chastisement rained down on him, so much so that he could only stand to the side with his head down. But once he heard that he needed to go to the Gu family’s company to intern, he was suddenly a little confused.
What was this!?
As a result, just as he opened his mouth, he was scolded with: "What are you so unconvinced about? The other girl had relied on herself to enter such a large company and even managed to become full-time within such a short period, isn’t that much better than you?!"
Auntie An[3] secretly snickered on the side. An Zeru’s professional and technical operations would definitely be absolutely brilliant once he entered the company, but he was just too proud and needed to be polished.
An Zeru felt quite aggrieved from being scolded and just laid in bed staring at the ceiling, having difficulty sleeping the entire night. Then, the next day, he properly went to the company to report.
When he got to the front desk, he clarified the department and took the elevator up. With difficulty, he found the small office in a corner and knocked on the door.
A voice sounded from inside: "Come in."
An Zeru stepped in with one foot as he observed the inside and saw that the back of the office chair was facing towards him. He walked over with a serious attitude.
"Hello, I'm An Zeru. I was sent to intern under your management."
There was a light chuckle as the chair turned slowly around, revealing a familiar face. Her expression was very eye-catching, but it was also full of bad intentions.
She opened her mouth and said, "Since we both know each other, we can just keep it simple. Let's start with training first?"
The author has something to say:
Actually, I quite like An Zeru. He’s so overbearing, just like how a crab would walk sideways. And whoever dares to provoke him, he would waves his claws right back.
But once the shell is smashed open, there would be delicious crab roe inside, along with plumb claw meat.
And despite all his haughtiness, wouldn’t he still need to obediently and honestly fall into the female lead’s hands? Tomorrow, we will start entering the crab legs.
[3] There might be an implication that Auntie An is Luoluo-jie?
