Chapter 38.2 - Ji Anran Taking a Gamble

On the way to Chenxi Base, there was a road that one would definitely need to take.
It was a tunnel., and it was only after passing through the tunnel that one can continue heading towards the base.
The tunnel was right in front of them. But though it was clearly broad daylight, it was still pitch black inside, and they couldn’t see a thing of what could be in there at all.
Geng Yan surmised that some smarter people would have directly rushed here to intercept them, so he had everyone get out of the car.

Gao Xun was in a rather embarrassing situation, cutting a sorry figure, as his brain wasn’t the sharpest yet he happened to be matched against two opponents that were well-versed in strategic sieging. Cut landed on his body one after another, the fresh blood just dripping down. If it wasn’t for the fact that his dodges were quick enough, this chap would have long gone cold.
Ji Anran went over and helped him kill one of them, then killed another three who were trying to escape.
Because their location was near the tunnel, it was very wide and open, and so not easy at all for people to hide. Therefore, although there was one person who was already several hundred meters away, he was still in Ji Anran's line of sight and so he was unable to escape his dark fate.
"Not good, he wants to self-explode!" Geng Yan's expression changed drastically.
At some unknown time, the demon-like Ji Anran already appeared behind that man, and a dense net of wind blades penetrated the other’s body, snatching away his life and interrupted his self-explosion.
Ji Anran breathed a sigh of relief. "Fortunately, I reacted in time. Otherwise, if he blew himself up, Geng-ge, given how close you were, you would have ended up seriously injured.
